Chris Johansen has over 20 years of operations and management experience in the medical device industry. He has a proven record in site development, plant engineering, supply chain, manufacturing engineering and operations for the manufacturing and distribution of medical devices. Most recently, he was director of operations for Thermacell and prior to this, Mr. Johansen was director of operations for Arthrex, an orthopedic medical device company, where he led a startup expansion. He also held various manufacturing roles at Spectrum Brands, Smith & Nephew (orthopedic implants), and Tyco Healthcare/ Kendall (vascular medical devices). Mr. Johansen holds certifications in lean manufacturing and six sigma black belt and has a proven track record of improving operational efficiency, creating a culture of quality, reducing COGs and improving gross margins. Mr. Johansen holds a BS in International Business and Transportation from Dowling College and an MBA from Christian Brothers University.
